INFORMATICS PROGRAM MANAGER AND ANALYST
The National Cancer Institute's Center for Bioinformatics (NCICB) is recruiting for the position of Informatics Program Manager and Analyst. This position provides program management, systems analysis and software development expertise to support a number of NCICB initiatives. Mandatory qualifications include:
· Advanced degree in an engineering or scientific discipline
· Minimum 10 years of experience in software or systems engineering.
· Proven track record in delivering systems solutions on time, within budget.
· Skilled written and oral communicator.
· Ability to effectively direct multiple initiatives in a high energy environment.
· Ability to align diverse groups, facilitating communication and decision-making.
· Experience in a highly integrated, multi-disciplinary environment consisting of physicians, biological scientists, engineers, and computer scientists.

A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available to study mechanisms and cell-cycle regulation of higher order chromatin structure in human and/or yeast cells. A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH), in a newly established research program to investigate retroviral assembly and virion release. This program will focus on the interactions between viral and cellular proteins involved in the budding of retroviral particles and the identification of compounds able to block the release of nascent virions. An ultra-structure/functional analysis of the human T-cell leukemia virus type one capsid protein is also being conducted in studies of viral core assembly. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or virology. The salary range is commensurate with experience. Postdoctoral position is immediately available to study the signal transduction pathways at molecular and cellular levels governing growth and differentiation of oral epithelial and fibroblasts in the Human Craniofacial Genetics Section of National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research/NIH. The facility provides state-of-the-art equipment for genomic, proteomic, and imaging analyses. Candidates should have Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with 1-3 years postdoctoral experience. Applicant should be highly motivated, with strong background in cell, molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry preferred. The successful candidate will be offered a stipend commensurate with experience. U.S. Citizens and non-citizens are eligible.
