The single cotyledon (sic) mutants of pea

  • As shown by the pictures above, the single-cotyledon mutants we found in pea have only one cotyledon instead of two in dicots. All three of them are caused by single gene mutations at different loci. They have slightly different morphology. Some of these mutants are fertile even as a homozygote, producing 100% single cotyledon seedlings.
