On March 16, 2003 (Sunday), 11 people from different locations of Netherlands went together at the Born-Zuid building of Plant Research International, Wageningen, to discuss the establishment of a Chinese network for life science researchers in Netherlands. The discussion went smoothly and concluded with the founding of the "Chinese Network of Life-sciences in Netherlands (CNLN)". The discussion led to the following decisions and conclusions:

The Aim of the Network:

Chinese Network of Life-Sciences in Netherlands (CNLN) is an internet-based network which aims at promoting scientific and social communications among Chinese life-science researchers in Netherlands. It is a free service that relies on the contribution of volunteers. We may also organize scientific workshops and leisure activities when time arrives. Most likely the first inter-disciplinary workshop will be hold in Wageningen in October, 2003. CNLN will keep a close partnership with VCWI and support activities of VCWI.
